During the 1970s through the mid 1980s I built violins (both modern and Baroque), violas (one model of my own design), cellos (one that went into the Oregon Symphony), viols da gamba (one went into music department at Oregon State University), and viols d'amore (one of which also went into the music department at OSU.)

The images belowlead to images of my current violin and viola projects. Often, as I build, I'm struck by the beauty of the moment, the beauty of the place where the building process led me. So, I set up the camera and shoot pictures. I hope you enjoy these as much as I.
